My mom
My mom amazes me. Honestly. Look, we have our fair share of misunderstandings or downright word slappings. Some times we can’t stand the sight of each other.
However, that said. She is darn amazing. She has my kids every single work day. Yes they come into the office. She has them most of the time though. She doesn’t get upset with them. Okay she does but not to the point where she wants to ship them off to never never land.
My boys can shout and fight be loud. They tap your energy seek attention all the time, doing the best to see who can get the most. I suppose that Zander wins hands down at this stage.
My mom handles all of this with grace. I cannot thank her enough. My boys are completely blessed to be with their Ouma every day instead of staying with a nanny or going to school full day.
I hope that one day I will have the honour to have such a vital part in my grandchildren’s lives – that I will be able to – that I’ll have the love and patients that my mom has for my kids.

You are very, very lucky. I have a strained relationship with my parents. And my in-laws, who I get along with wonderfully, just stopped by to ask why I didn’t mail them a thank you note for babysitting last week end.

what a beautiful tribute about your mom! How wonderful she can be such a big part of your boys’ lives too; I know it hurts my mom to be so far away and only get to see Kayla a few times a year – she would give anything to be able to watch Kayla everyday! You’re blessed!

Hi, this is my 1st time here
Moms are always the best! Personally for me, I only realized the true sacrifice my mom had to go through when I became a mom myself. It’s wonderful how you appreciate her while acknowledging & accepting her flaws.I’m sure you’ll do just as well or even better with your grandkids in future

What a touching post. It is so important to say “THANK YOU” and to appreciate and acknowlege.
You and your mom are gorgeous. What a fabulous picture – PS did Wenchy take it?
Your mom looks like a glamor gran.
Your boys are so very fortunate to have their grandparents so close and participating in their lives.

Two beautiful ladies, both inside and out. I am sure you will be as loving as a grandparent as your mom.
