Today our school holidays officially started. Quintus was getting his stuff ready for school today and I just let him bewhen he realized by himself that it’s holiday lol
I need ways to entertain the boys. I’ve decided to only work half days as much as possible so that my boys won’t have to be with my mom all day long. Now I also want to make sure they have fun.
So… any ideas?

DO a scavengerhunt with them, if you can, give them a camera to take photos with..

I also run out of ideas for my two boys, during the holidays. Their favourites are: 1 or 2 days per holiday week, we decide on a dress-up theme. If it’s pirates, medieval or cooking, we dress-up for the day, eat pirate food, speak like pirates, etc. They love it because I join in the dress-up. This year there’s the Big 6 in Cape Town….cape point, kirstenbosch, table mountain, etc. Get some new board games…lots of new ones at CNA and PnP…my 4 year old cannot get enough of Zingo. Painting, SandArt, baking, making pizzas and inviting friends to help. Get creative and have loads of fun! http://www.familyfun.com also has good craft and activity ideas. Enjoy the holidays!

Jess, I love that idea.
We used to do “adventure day” when my kids were little and try to find something none of us had ever done before. Like going to some new ethnic market and trying different food or just exploring a park we’d never been to.
(When they got older this got harder and we had to go out of town.)
