I cannot like hunting. You cannot convince me in ANY way that hunting is a ’sport’. Hunting can be a professional job. Yes. I understand that. Some times due to humans interference and putting animals in camps animal numbers need to be reduced. Don’t see why the average pen pusher should see himself as a hunter once a year and go do this. There’s professional hunters who can do that. It’s like someone doing his own income tax return once and saying he’s a tax consultant.
Yesterday a business man (note - not a hunter) was ‘attacked’ as the newspapers says by a leopard. Now let’s put this into perspective. The leopard had been killing some farm animals and clearly this is a problem. The farmer and his friend decided to go looking for this leopard and kill it. They found it, shot it and walked up to the leopard. As they got close enough the leopard jumped up and attacked them. The first shot didn’t kill it. They shot again and still he was not dead. He did do some serious harm to both of them before he died though.
Do I feel sorry for them? No. Again, they aren’t hunters. Get a professional hunter. Just cause you ride your car at ridiculous speeds, it doesn’t make you a Formula 1 racer. You are also not a professional hunter because you own a gun.

Bok I must agree 100%. HE (the farmer) put the cattle there, the cattle are food for the leopard so he does what he was put on earth to do. He kills and EATS (not just kills) the calves. So now he must be killed? An endangered species? Once again more support for my belief that man does not belong on earth. All the other things on earth adapt and live with the earth. They do not use up all its resources. Only man does. A species does not live in an area/climate that does not suit it. Only man builds in an area where he cannot exist, installs heaters and/or air conditioners and uses up more resources. Viva!! to the leopard.

Too bad the businessman survived and not the leopard.

It’s a pity the farmer and his friend survived to tell the tale. I can’t stand hunting!

I too agree- hunting is not a sport!
Thanks for your comment, by the way, wishing me luck on the race. It was hot hot hot but we ran fairly well and finished in just a couple of minutes over an hour- well ahead of most of the pack. Although, my parents just emailed me and my mom took 1st place in her age division and my dad took 2nd place in his age division for a 5k they ran today. And they just started running this year! Suddenly, my race paled in comparison. Oh well, right?

i so agree that i don’t feel sorry for those guys… i mean honestly! a year or so ago there was a article in the sunday newspaper about a guy that shot his friend, while hunting, “by accident”… and the pic they had of the two they were posing for a photo together… with the damn barrel in their faces! so i guess it shouldn’t be a big surprise that the one shot the other… stupid people.
