Sport nut

We love sport like you haven’t noticed that yet! Clearly it will rub off on the boys.  Zander will trade in me all his toys for a ball and more specifically a Habana rugby ball.  He has amazing ball skills.   We recently noticed that he can actually bowl a cricket ball.  Not throw it like most other kids (even those way bigger than him) but actually bowl it.

(It’s like my dad says in the comments.  In cricket you have to bowl over arm, without bending your arm.  If you bend your arm it is considered throwing it)

It is adorable to watch.

For those where cricket is not played – a bowler has to bowl overarm without bending the arm. When Melany and I traint the Bakers cricket at school, this is one of the most challenging aspects. The seven year old boys ALL throw with a bent arm and alongs comes this Mister and bowls the way he sees them do it on the TV!

  4. Adorable! I love: 1) how he totally STOPS and puts it ALL into his arm. His little legs almost plant firmly and apart in the ground! 2) how your older son gets the ball and shares it with him! Not many older brothers would be so generous… may just snatch it and run. Precious boys-

  6. Dang! He even does a ‘run up’ and everything – how cute is that!! The Bubby also has a good arm, but he does more of a baseball toss (much good that will do him here OR in Australia) I can definitely see Cricket in Zanders future!!
