Innocent teenager

Contrary to my parent’s believe I grew up to be a very innocent teenager. Also one with really really bad hairstyles (I’m the one with the terribly short hair on the left . I mean I could have been a boy!l)

I remember so clearly one specific night. I must have been about 15 and we were at my brother’s school for some kind of social event. I was dating a guy for at least a year and he was there too. Him and I decided to go for a walk around the rugby field (no lights though) and my parents got so upset. Demanding us to come back as soon as they found out we were out in the dark. They even told me that I would no longer be seeing this boy once they dropped him off. I was confused as to why. We had done nothing wrong. We weren’t planning on doing anything wrong. We just went for a walk.

It is only recently that I realized all boys just want one thing. Especially at that age. I just didn’t know maybe? Or maybe I just had proper boyfriends since not one ever tried to make a move on me like that.

To this day I’m amazed at how innocent I was. How naive I suppose. Sjoe imagine that. Hopefully my boys will date girls like that and be proper boys that will allow them to be innocent for as long as possible.

  1. Ahh. The old, “Let’s go for a walk” line. Well, at least you were good. That’s exactly the kind of thing my mom would have done too if she’d found out. Oh my lordy, I remember the time my car got broken into, parked outside my boyfriends flat (I was at third year university) at 3am. The cops ran the license plate when they saw the broken window…and of course registered to my mom, they called her, at 3am, and told her where the car was parked – and did she know where it got broken into?? Yeah. Not pretty. Even though I was already 20, and yes sleeping over at my boyfriends (BUT still a virgin! I was innocent too!) she TOTALLY FLIPPED and to this day, can’t remember the things she said to me, because she flew into such a rage the next morning when she called me. Funny times now I think back, especially when the cops knocked on the door and asked for me by name!

I guess you are right, boys at that age only want one thing. Maybe not all, but most of them.

    Hello aunty Melanie

I am afraid not all boys are that proper hey!!

I was of course but there is a reason why “the others” have that reputation

you are beautiful no matter what length hair you have

  7. I was terribly naive too and had no idea about some boys. Sadly, I found out first hand what most boys were realy after. And I was dumb enough to still believe the best for them. I was so dumb.

I remember with my first serious boyfriend, his parents (well his dad) used to sit us down for ‘discussions’ and tell us how wrong it was to have s*x before marriage etc. He even used to talk about periods. I look back now and think he was a big creep to talk to a young girl like that. At the time though, I was just scared of him. One day he even came out and asked us both ‘have you done the DEED?’ LOL. What an A$$.
