Super Mom

JJ, my middle child

My boys are such special and vastly different individuals. Something I’m hugely thankful for. I often get the “Your child was so well behaved” comment when I pick them up from friends. However the 30 minute song and praise that I got about Jason yesterday was something in a whole different league.

He was at a party and one of the moms commented on what a well behaved boy he is. What sweet manners he has and how he is such a gentleman around the girls. How he is caring and compassionate and generally walking with a constant halo around his head.

I thanked her said that I can’t take too much credit for that. A lot of it is just his personality.

It didn’t end there though. All the other moms were telling stories of how he did this or that and what a special little boy he is.

Totally blew my mind and made me such a proud mom.

He really is a special little guy.

  1. That’s wonderful! Isn’t it like the best feeling ever when you get compliments like that?? We met a woman with an 18mth old boy (at a friends house) – and the Bubby totally ‘took him under his wing’ and showed him the dog and told him to ‘be ke-ful’ etc and put his arm around him etc. His mom made a point of coming up to me and asking if he had any younger siblings because he was so great with her boy. It was all I could do not to grin like a cheezy idiot πŸ™‚ But I was happy to tell her that he did have a little brother on the way – and that I hoped he behaved the same way towards him!

Oh – and I totally think YOU *can* take at least some of the credit for it!!

  2. maybe you should buy him the toy he wants, but i do think the bit about being nice to girls comes from him being only boy in class, i mean if your outnumbered your going to be nice aren’t you

  3. Actually Markus no. Since the beginning of the year he is no longer the only boy in his class. In primary school the classes are abou5 50/50. Also he was not the only boy before. He was one of three (lol as if that makes a huge difference) That didn’t make the other two boys gentlemen though, so I don’t think that’s the reason

  10. It sounds like that was just what your heart needed. He sounds so much like Zack and it is interesting that they are both the middle of three boys. πŸ™‚
