Super Mom

It’s now been almost 24 hours since the operation.  I’m in pain most of the time, even with the pain meds that I’m taking.  Hopefully by tomorrow things will be better though.

Anything is better than the hospital though.  I hate the fact that they think I want see the first rays of sun when they open the curtains at 5 am.  Take my vitals if you must but I sure don’t want to wake up already!

These nurses would walk into our room and talk to each other as though there is no patient in the room, even though both of us are sleeping.  Not there to take our blood pressure or give pills or anything.  Just walking through the room, giving it a bit of a talk.  Sleep is not something one goes to hospital for, that’s for sure.

I’m glad to be home.

  1. Glad you home. Hope you feel better soon.

I totally agree with you about not being able to sleep in hospitals. And I thought it was only in the maternity ward where you got woken up at such ungodly hours!!!

  2. Hope you have a wonderful and revitalising night’s sleep tonight and wake up with the pain gone.

I totally agree about hospital staff total disrespect for a patent sleep!

I’m not that crazy about being woken up at 4:30am. For a cup of tea!

  3. Ouch. That looks and sounds incredibly painful, and I know surgery like that can take MONTHS to recover from. Hope you do, though, quickly, and that your typing skills aren’t limited.

  10. I hate being in hospital as well – purely because of that 5am nonsense – I am usually awake at that time (cos I am not well) but I don’t like being woken up by hospital staff.

I think they like to wake everyone up at 5am so that all patients are ‘taken care of’ before they do their shift change. agree that is sucks though!

Love your ‘Bob the Builder’ duvet cover 😉

I hope your pain lesses soon. hugs to you

I am a Registered Nurse. Sometimes nurses has to go inside the room to check if the IV is still dripping, or the urinary catheter is already full. Or other things. But yeah, let me apologize for the unnecessary noise on the process.

I hope you are okay now. 🙂
