Super Mom

Being tooth mouse

Yesterday I pulled Jason’s tooth.  Nogal at the Wimpy in Venstersdorp.  Much to the excitement of the other people in there.  Well…the one other table of people.  How many people are there in Ventersdorp, you know?

Of course I had to keep his tooth for safe-keeping.  It must be kept for the tooth mouse.

I didn’t think that he truly still believed.  I always try to get the kids to believe but you know, at some stage they know you are making up a story.  He came to me before bed time and seriously wanted to know if there really is a tooth mouse or if the tooth mouse is me.  I said that of course there is a tooth mouse and that it’s time for bed.

Well he stayed up and waited for the tooth mouse.  Until after 23:00!!!  I was dead tired by the time I leopard crawled into the room and replace the tooth with money.

Man it’s hard work to play the tooth mouse!

    • Is there any way for me to get one more ticket? If I buy one there would we be able to sit together?

I remember when I was a kid. I figured out my dad was the tooth fairy almost on the very first tooth…but I also cottoned on to the fact that as long as he didn’t know that I knew it could be a handy source of additional pocket money. 😉

It took yeeeears for him to figure out what I was up to!

Oh me too! And I love when they still believe in magic and fairytales. Kids grow up too quickly these days.

  9. My knucklehead put his tooth out for the toothmouse until he didn’t lose any more teeth! He knew of course that there was no mouse, but he did it anyway, for me.
