Super Mom

So very proud

It was school athletics day yesterday and even though the boys didn’t quality for any of the items, we went to support their friends.

Zander kept on asking if he can run as well.  Well, of course he’s not in school yet so I went to the Grade R teacher and asked if he could run with them, when they do.  He was very happy that he could run with them.  I actually didn’t think he would go through with it.  I mean he is a year younger and he doesn’t really know the kids.  He was serious about running though and he did well!!  You would never say that he wasn’t a part of the Grade R group.  He was right in there with the race.  So darn cute.

Then right at the end of the day, they started with the long distance running.  Quintus’ friend was going to do the 1200 m and his friend asked if he would run with him.  Now understand that Quintus is not fit.  Rugby season only starts next month or so.  He has never done this before.  He knew that he didn’t stand a chance but still decided to do it.

Two of the guys that were behind him gave up.  Yet he didn’t.  He kept on running and seriously giving it his best, up to the end.  I’m so proud of him.  So so proud that he didn’t give up.

It was cute seeing a group of girls cheer him on, on the last lap Winking smile
