Super Mom

I took Jason to the orthodontist yesterday.  Just a check-up.  He is also a bit self-conscious because his teeth aren’t straight.  However, after taking x-rays and looking at the position of his adult teeth that still has to come out, they are happy to let things be as it is at the moment.  He most likely will end up getting braces but only when he is 13 or so.

What a great group of people though.  They were SO nice.  Right from the receptionist to every single person we spoke to.  Everyone.  So impressed.  I think we’ve become so used to rude and bad service, that we expect nothing else.

I’m so glad we went.  Not just because we now have peace of mind with regards to his teeth but also because I have found my new happy place!   Almost want to go to the dentist just to see friendly faces!

We went to the orthodontist on Monday & had the same excellent service. My children were so impressed with all the smiles and friendly concerns from all the staff. Chloe actually commented on the friendly ladies … Did I mention that ALL the staff members, dr. included were ladies??? Caleb can’t wait for his next visit. He needs a plate for now, braces maybe later.

My daughter is going to need orthodontic work done as well. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be able to wait until she’s 13 😦 And there’s nothing you can do at home to prevent or reverse crooked teeth. I did find great ways to prevent and even reverse cavities though, in this Mom’s Guide. It has great tips for good oral care for your children.
